Family

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a layout using Gina's Designs Lasercuts.

I have scrapped a photo of a cousin visiting from Sweden, his girlfriend, and my Father-in-Law.
On this layout, I used texture paste on one of our texture sheets, using it as a stencil.  I painted the raised areas with silk acrylics, and outlined them with a gel pen.
On the gears chipboard I painted with gesso, followed by copper ink, gold lumieres, a bit of Vintaj patina, and more lumieres in blue.  I put a layer of Utee over everything.  I rubbed a little gold perfect pearls on the raised areas.

There are a few pieces of bamboo leaves.  I painted them with gesso, twinkling H20s and silk acrylic. I coated the surface with magic medium.  I brushed a little deco art pen on.
For the crow at the bottom left, I used gesso, texture paste for feathers, and black acrylic paint.  I coated it with glossy accents. I put on a few colors of jaquard mica powders.
For the honeycomb at the upper left, i used gesso,  and glossy accents.  While the glue was wet I poured on embossing powder. I didn't follow with a heat gun, preferring the way it looked dry. Thanks for looking!

Vintage cards

Hi! Melissa here with two cards using Gina's Designs Chipboard.

On the first card I used several products on the lavender butterfly, gesso, silk acrylics, acrylic paint, lumiers, twinkling H20s,  Vintaj patina paint, stickles, and glass glitter.

On the card itself I used texture paste and a stencil.  I painted with acrylic paints, art deco pens, and inked at the end.

On the pink card I used liquid pearls over gesso on the chipboard . On the leaves I used gesso, watercolors, twinkling H20s, and chalk ink.  I used a stamp to add definition but wound up scratching veins in with a straight pin while the surface was wet.

Thanks for looking!

Evelyn Nesbit

Hi! Melissa here with a layout made with Gina's Lasercuts Designs.

I used a border as a stencil with texture paste on the paper and put gesso over the paste.  Then I  painted it with acrylics and lumieres.

I put a layer of gesso followed by acrylic paint on the chipboard pieces.

This is a famous model and actress from the early part of the 20th century, who has an interesting history.

Thanks for looking!

China Cabinet

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a China Cabinet by Gina's Lasercuts Designs.

I covered the cabinet in gesso and then applied texture paste over a stencil.  I put a coat of pearl metallic acrylic over it, followed by layers of twinkling H20s, watercolors, and lumieres.

I put two coats of crackle on the raised areas, and brown and black chalk to make the cracks show.  On the top area and on the drawers I used gloss medium instead of acrylic paint, and that sealed the surface better. Thanks for looking!
