Frog and Kitty Cards

Hi everyone! Melissa here with two cards using Rubbermoon Art Stamps. I kept it simple when it came to decorating the images themselves. I used a little colored pencil on the frog, and left the other plain. I surrounded both with lots of different things.

On the Beach

Hi everyone! Melissa here for Gina's Designs. I love looking at the ocean, and this day at the beach is one I'll never forget.  The chipboard I've used compliments and enhances the photo. I like the lighthouse in the title work so much.

To decorate the chipboard I first painted on a coat of gesso. I followed this with layers of watercolors, chalk ink, Twinkling H20s, and Lindy's Stamp Gang sprays. On the title work I used Distress Crackle Paint over the paint, and this made the colors blend together more.

I brushed on blue chalk to make the cracks more distinct.

Two Valentine Cards

Hi everyone! Melissa here for Gina's Designs.  I think this chipboard fit so well with the Valentine theme.  On the hearts and swirls type, and for the small piece of frame on the right side card I did the following:

1.Paint with white acrylic.
2. Paint hearts with pink Twinkling H20s and watercolors, mixed with Pearlex.
3.Paint swirls with a mix of brown watercolor, and green acrylic paint.
4. Dry brush liquid gold leaf paint.

On the white hearts I put stickles over white acrylic paint.

Here are the steps to make the green leaves on the right:
1. Prep with gesso.
2.Paint with green chalk ink.
3. While wet put on some green and brown watercolor.
4.Ink the edges with a green distress ink pad.
5. Apply a thick coat of crackle accent.
6. Brush on some purple Pearlex.

Santa Barbara Sunshine

Hi everyone! Melissa here for Gina's Designs. I really enjoyed using this chipboard. The swirls and curls fit well with the sunny mood of the photo.

I only used a couple steps to make this:

1.Prep with gesso. I applied it with a small wedge of cosmetic sponge. It's faster than using a paint brush.
2. Paint with gold leaf paint.
3. Put a layer of glossy accents on.

This is a photo of my Mother-In-Law that I took at a botanical garden in Santa Barbara, California.
I thought it was pretty seeing her with the perspective the path and trees around it created.  I also like the sunlight showing through the leaves.  I remember it was dry and warm that day.  Typical weather there.
