Miracles Happen When You Believe

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post for the amazing Shimmerzpaints! I love the rich texture of these delightful colors!

To make this page I put the layers under the photo together first, including taping water color paper under the image to make it stronger and lie flat. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with white gesso. I put layers of cardboard between each of the layers to add dimension, and taped it to the background paper. I used double sided foam tape.

I coated 49 and Market paper with clear gesso, put the layers with the photo on, then applied texture paste with a Prima stencil and an old credit card.

I picked out Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, figured out where it would go on the page, took it off, and prepped it with white gesso. I painted both of the flourishes with Angels Kiss Inklingz. The flourish on the left is plain, the one on the right I also painted with Me & Blue Inklingz, and sprinkled on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder. I dried it right away with a heat tool, til the powder just melted. I topped a lot of it with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. There are some chipboard leaves at the flower clusters at the bottom right and left. I painted them all with first Green Olive Shimmerz, then dropped into the wet paint a drop of Penny 4 Your Thoughts. I topped them with Clear Rock Candy, after letting the paint air dry.

I painted the mat, corrugated, and background paper, with Hi Ho Silver, but mostly Precious Metal Shimmmerz, for the first layer. On the top of the texture paste is Angels Kiss. I used several colors of blue around the page, Peacock"s Plume Shimmerz for the edges of the corrugated, and then basically Oakie Bear Blue and Blue My Mind Inklingz for the rest. I mixed in and added later Steely Blue Eyes  Inklingz. All the brown at the bottom is Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz.

I spread Citrine Mica Powder by Pearlex on a few areas around the page, including the key on the right, with my finger.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, swarovski crystals, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, sequins, glass pebbles painted on the bottom with clear gesso ,then Precious Metal Shimmerz, flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, metal from Reneabouquets,Vintaj, and bling and metal from my stash.  A lot of the textural elements are from Reneabouquets, including the printed Beautiful Board. There are some fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 papers.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Shine Like The Whole Universe Is Yours

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints. I love these                                                paints, the colors are so rich and fun to work with!

To make this page I put the layers under the photo together first, including taping water color paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of cardboard between each of the layers to add dimension, and taped it to the background paper.

I coated Blue Fern Glory of the Garden paper with clear gesso, then applied Prima platinum texture paste with a Prima stencil and an old credit card.

I picked out Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, figured out where it would go on the page, took it off, and prepped it with white gesso. I painted it with Angels Kiss Inklingz. I topped it with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

I painted the mat, corrugated, and background paper with Christmas Cheer Shimmerz, Angels Kiss, and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. I also used Ultra Marine Shimmerz, sometimes with Pool Me Close Shimmerz mixed in. Underneath the word Love is Greener Pastures Inkingz. I layered mica powders over and under layers of paint. Most of it is Citrine, a nice bright yellow that worked out well with this page. I usually just use Brilliant Gold.

I spread Citrine Mica Powder by Pearlex all around the page using my finger.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, swarovski flat back crystals, glass shard glitter, glass beads, gold leaf, pearls, sequins, pressed flowers and leaves, a shell, gold lace, flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, metal from Reneabouquets and bling and metal from my stash.  A lot of the textural elements are from Reneabouquets, including the printed Beautiful Board.

Reneabouquets Design Team Page, Live Gently Upon This Earth

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Reneabouquets, go and see all the fun treasures there!

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern Glory Of The Garden paper. I put the layers under the photo together, starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and under that is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of corrugated cardboard between each layer to add dimension.

I put the layers with the photo onto the page. I applied Prima Platinum Crackle Paste with a stencil to the paper with an old credit card.

I picked out Beautiful Board(BBoard),prepped it with gesso, painted it with Prima -  Sparks Acrylic Paint - Butterfly Spells, on the leaves, and topped them with a thick coat of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I used Blue My Mind Shimmerz on some of the BB to make the cracks show more. I held a brush full of watered down Shimmerz up against the edge of the dried crackle, and the cracks absorbed the color. I painted the flourish on the left with A Rose( By Any Other Name ) Shimmerz, then crackle.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequins, gold leaf, pressed flowers and leaves, tulle, small pieces of gold lace, iridescent wrapping paper, a shell, flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, and bling and metal from my stash. There are small fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 papers.

I sponged on gesso on the background paper, and used Shimmerz Paints in Blue My Mind,Steely Blue Eyes, and Dear John Letter Inklingz . All the gold on the page, is gold mica powder.I painted the mat and corrugated with Precious Metal Shimmerz and Blue My Mind Inklingz. I edged the layers with black ink.

As a final step, I flicked on some white ink. I love the fairy in the photo above, she is so adorable! Look at the glass wings, they're gorgeous.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

All In A Moment, a dt page for Shimmerzpaints

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints. I love these                                                paints, the colors are so rich and fun to work with!

To make this page I put the layers under the photo together first, including taping water color paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of cardboard between each of the layers to add dimension, and taped it to the background paper.

I coated 49 and Market paper with clear gesso, then applied Prima platinum texture paste with a Prima stencil and an old credit card. I sprinkled Ultra Thick Embossing Powder onto it, and heated it with a heat gun. You're supposed to let the paste dry by itself to get the crackle, but I was more interested in the UTEE effect.

I picked out Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, figured out where it would go on the page, took it off, and prepped it with white gesso. I painted it with Teal The End Of Time Shimmerz. In some areas I added white embossing powder, and Dear John Letter Inklingz. I topped it with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

I painted the mat, and corrugated with the same colors. I used the same colors over white gesso around the texture paste areas, on the background paper. At the upper right of the mat I used Blue Lagoon Inklingz.

I used gold mica powder around the edges of the mat, wiping it on with my finger, and on different areas all over the page.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, sequins, strands of gauze, iridescent wrapping paper, black tulle, gold lace, flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, metal from Reneabouquets and bling and metal from my stash. I added small fussy cut pieces from a few collections of Graphic 45 papers. A lot of the textural elements are from Reneabouquets.

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern's Jane's Memoirs paper.

I put the layers under the photo together, starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most of the paper from the top of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of cardboard between the layers to add dimension.

I put the layers with the photo onto the page.

I painted the page with clear gesso, then applied texture paste with a stencil and an old credit card. I sprinkled on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, and heated it with a heat tool. The Beautiful Board leaves at the bottom are a combination of 3 or 4 layers of Green Olive Shimmerz and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz.

I picked out Beautiful Board, applied gesso with a brush, and painted it with pink Prima Butterfly Spells Sparks paint.I applied a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I added a lot of color around the paper with Shimmerz paints. I used a mix of Run Forest Run and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz, and Dear John Letter for the pinkish color. The blue green color on the mat and corrugated is a mix of Blue My Mind and Run Forest Run Inklingz. Green Olive Shimmerz
