Reneabouquets DT post, Vintage Blue Card

Hi everyone!Melissa here, with a new design team project for the amazing Reneabouquets! Go and see all the beautiful treasures there!

I used watercolor paper to make a 9"x 4" card. I stenciled on Prima Platinum Crackle Texture paste. I sponged white gesso on the Beautiful Board pieces. I put the flowers on first with layers of cardboard underneath them, then the rest of the items. I added Shimmerz Paints, mica powder,Aqua Tint Embossing Powder, Prima waxes, and a little orange Ranger alcohol ink. I used a lot of different colors and layers of paints, and at one point, I thought I should use more color,so I started adding a little orange, then the fine Rust German Glitter Glass. The glass added a whole new look, and the quality of it is amazing. Toward the end I added Ranger Clear Rock Candy Crackle to the Beautiful Board, and the stenciled areas.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter, gold leaf, iridescent wrapping paper, ivory tulle, tiny pieces of vintage lace, Swarovski and other brands of crystals, glass beads, pearls, sequins, metal and a vintage image from Tim Holtz, flowers from  Reneabouquets, and bling and metal from my stash. There's fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 Flutter papers. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

I kept adding things, and more layers of paint and mica powder. A lot of the items are from Reneabouquets.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter ,gold leaf, glass beads, pearls, rhinestones,  glass hearts, sequins, tulle, iridescent wrapping paper, feathers from my yard, pressed and dried flowers, a flower from  Reneabouquets, metal fromTim Holtz, and bling and from my stash The birds are from Graphic 45 Birdwatcher, they're attached with gold wire and Glossy Accents. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. It's hard to see,but at the bottom of each feather I wired on a moonstone, quartz, and a sterling silver bead. They weighted the feathers down, so they hung better. The stick at the top is from one of my rosebushes.

I used the following colors:   Peacock's Plume ,and Christmas Cheer Shimmerz ,then Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. I painted on Steely Blue Eyes Inklingz. layered on top of some of the Peacock's Plume. I brushed on black ink to outline different areas. I painted on a mix of gold mica powder and water.

Shimmerz Paints Design Team Post, Four Ocean Theme ATCs,by Melissa Larson

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post, four ATCs, for the amazing Shimmerz Paints, I love their rich texture and colors!

I like to give these ATCs to my relatives and friends as tiny special occasion cards.

To make these cards I cut out images from Graphic 45's Voyage Beneath the Sea Collection, and glued them onto 2.5 x 3.5 inch watercolor paper cards.  I applied clear gesso, then stamped on Versamark with a script stamp, and poured on gold embossing powder, one has Aqua Tinsel. I heated the powders, then  stenciled on Prima Platinum crackle texture paste with a spatula. I matted them on black cardstock.  I fussy cut more images, and used layers of cardboard and double sided foam tape under them to add dimension. I painted the fussy cut images with Clear gesso.

I added beads, and sprinkled glass glitter on the glue spots. A lot of the items are from Reneabouquets.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter ,glass beads, pearls, rhinestones, swarovski crystals, glass hearts, tulle, cheesecloth , iridescent wrapping paper, feathers from my yard,  Prima mould shapes, flowers from  Reneabouquets, metal from Reneabouquets and Tim Holtz, and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. The Beautiful Board is from Reneabouquets.

I used the following colors: Pixie Dust Blingz on the Prima mould pieces, Christmas Cheer, and Peacock's Plume Shimmerz ,  Penny 4 Your Thoughts,Miner Miner 49er and Good As Gold Inklingz on various areas. I painted with Gold Glimmer Blingz plus Shimmerz too.

I used Jaquard Brilliant Gold mica powder on different areas, sometimes I took a candle and rubbed it on surfaces and then put the mica powder on.

The Pixie Dust has an amazing texture, imagine a thick and shiny, almost paste, that makes any surface pop with a gorgeous gleamy white sheen. The Peacock's Plume is the most intense and amazing textured turquoise color, that exactly matches the blues of these papers.

Thank you so much for looking , and have a great week!

Shimmerz Paints DT Canvas, "Magic In The Air", by Melissa Larson

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post, an 8x10 canvas, for the amazing Shimmerz Paints, I love their rich texture and colors!

To make this canvas I first covered the canvas with white gesso.I stenciled on crackle paste. I arranged all the items, including a lot of fussy cut images from Graphic 45 around the page. I added beads, and sprinkled glass glitter on the glue spots. A lot of the items are from Reneabouquets. I used several colors of Shimmerzpaints to paint with. I put gesso on pretty thick in some areas, to make negative space. I wanted a nice balanced composition, so I wound up taking some fussy cut pieces off, and covering up some of the textural things.

I used the following colors: Pixie Dust Blingz plus Shimmerz, Precious Metal, Teal The End Of Time and Peacock's PlumeShimmerz , Blue My Mind, Penny 4 Your Thoughts, Honeymoon, Plum Crazy, Greener Pastures, Imperial Amethyst,Miner Miner 49er,Dear John Letter, and Good As Gold Inklingz.

Dear John Letter isn't available anymore.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter ,glass beads, pearls, rhinestones, swarovski crystals, sequins, glass hearts, tulle, sisal, iridescent wrapping paper,a feather from my yard, a Prima mould shapes, flowers from  Reneabouquets ,and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. The Beautiful Board is from Reneabouquets.

Thank you so much for looking , and have a great week!
