Audrey Hepburn

Hi everyone! Here's a vintage page I did on my Christmas break.

I took a paintbrush, dipped into gesso, and flung it on the page. I did this several times.I applied texture paste with several stencils.

I put on layers of gold, silver, and pewter colored mica powders.  The background was originally dark,so all I needed was a little water and black watercolor to blend everything.

I sponged gesso on a lot of the page.

I put on more silver mica powder.

I put the photo on three layers of canvas and foam core board.

The gorgeous white flower, and the lace for the tiara, are from Tresors de Luxe.

I put lots of champagne glass glitter on, crackle accent, sequins, bling, and pearls.

Thanks for looking, and I hoped you like the page!

Vintage Christmas

Merry Christmas everyone! Melissa here with a page I made just for fun.

This layout is made of  two layers of watercolor paper.

I started by putting the photo on layers of canvas and paper. I brushed both layers of watercolor paper with a light mix of prussian and cobalt blue watercolors. I sponged on gesso to soften any hard lines that the paint left. I poured on crackle accent, and when it was dry painted it with a little blue watercolor, then some Lindy's.

I applied fussy cut images, rub ons,and bling. I glued on some wood veneer snowflakes I had coated with glossy accents and glitter.

You can see micro beads and seed beads on the left.

I made some flowers with a sizzix die, I use it all the time.

I painted with some brown watercolor under the layers the photo is on, and also a little on the right of the top layer of watercolor paper.

I sprinkled glitter over glossy accents on the lower right side.

Here are some views in the sun. I always like them the best because you can see the details so well.

Thanks for looking, and I hope you liked it!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone, Melissa here with a page for Tresors de Luxe. I love the intricate details of the lace I used. It reminds me of snow, and I think complements the vintage photo.

I used a few different stencils on the page, then poured on some crackle accent.

I put the photo on a piece of canvas. I took apart a silver applique, and used the sequins all around the photo.

I placed pieces of lace at the top and sides of the paper.

I applied pearls, fussy cut images, rub ons, different types of glitter, and  flowers.

Thank you for looking, and I hope you liked this page!

On the Beach

Hi everyone, Melissa here with a page for Tresors de Luxe. I love working with the lace from this company, it's just so beautiful.

This is a photo my mother in law took of my sister in law and her son. You can see the photographers shadow at the bottom of the photo.

I applied texture paste with a few stencils, and then sponged on gesso. I put the photo on top of a layer of canvas and one of handmade paper. I painted with different shades of blue and green watercolors, a mix of gold mica powder and water, and water color pencils.

I placed lace and handmade flowers around the page.

I put on pearls, fussy cut images, sequins, micro beads, and seed beads.

I used a fair amount of crystals around the edges, distress glitter, unheated sand color embossing powder, and crackle paint, and charms.

Thank you for looking, and I hope you liked this page!

Tea Time

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a vintage page for Tresors de Luxe. I am amazed by the richness of this lace, and the beauty of the big pink fabric flower.

The gold layer is handmade paper. I painted it with a mica powder and water mix.

I applied texture paste with a stencil.

I painted using different shades of green watercolors mixed with brown, and I included putting some on the crackle.

I put white mica powder and water on some of the raised areas of the stencil, and the powder alone on a lot of the whole page.

You can see how the white covers a lot of the color I put on. I was trying to keep the page balanced,by having some negative space.

There is some stamping and rub ons on the page, but they got gesso on too.  I wanted a very soft look, that wasn't too busy.

I don't think this photo catches how full and beautiful this pink flower is.

I've completely finished using the beaded appliques here from my dt package, which shows how much I appreciate them. The pearls are so elegant.

Thank you for looking, and I hoped you liked this page!
