Wishing You All You're Wishing For

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for Reneabouquets! I love all the amazing products you can find there! This photo is from free google, by A.M. Lorek.

To make this page I applied gesso to Prima Spring Farmhouse paper. I put texture paste on with a stencil, then put the layers under the photo together. I taped on cardstock to the image to make it stronger, under that is a layer of watercolor paper, and at the bottom, corrugated cardboard. I had torn off most of the paper from the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put layers of foam core board between the layers to add dimension.

I picked out Beautiful Board(B Board), painted it with Shimmerz Paints, and topped it with Clear Rock Candy Crackle.Later I added more paint, gesso, and mica powder. The gold on the cardboard is Finnabair's Art Alchemy Steampunk Copper.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, glass glitter, distress glitter, glitter glue, seed beads, pearls, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, glass beads, pressed flowers, moss, a Prima flower, a Reneabouquet dragonfly, tulle, ribbon, metal from Reneabouquets, Vintaj, Tim Holtz, and bling from my stash.

I did a lot of dry brushing on the page. There are layers of blue, green, copper, white gesso, and more, on the watercolor paper and corrugated.

I used a lot of glitter and micro beads, then covered them up with paint.

I added the small pieces of dried moss and a few strands of gauze at the end.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Two Cards

Here are two new cards for Reneabouquets, I love using the amazing products I find there!

To make this card I first put the layers under the Steampunk Debutante image together: I taped on cardstock to the image to make it stronger, underneath is watercolor paper, at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most of the paper from the corrugated, and painted it with gesso. I put layers of foam core board between everything, to add dimension.
I marked off where I wanted the layers to go, then sponged on gesso on Prima Paper, an A4 piece of Timeless Memories. I glued on lace, then applied texture paste with a stencil.
I used different media to get the colors I wanted: Shimmerz Paints, Art Alchemy Sparks, gold mica powder, Derwent Inktense Watercolor pencil in Bark, and black gesso.
To add visual interest I added a micro beads, glass glitter, mica flakes, glass beads, tiny pieces of black tulle and gold lace, a few strands of gauze, a butterfly,a flower from my stash, and a 7 Gypsies pin with silk ribbon.

To make this card I assembled the shaker box, painted it with Prima Dragon's Eye Sparks Paint, then painted the frame. I use gold mica powder and water for the shells, and Shimmerz paints for the rest. I dribbled on Clear Rock Candy Crackle with a paint brush. I glued the frame onto the box. I marked off the page where I wanted it to sit, and sponged gesso on the paper. I attached the box to the page with double sided foam tape.

I used the same items on this card as the other one, with the addition of pressed flowers, lichen, swarovski crystals, and a pearl necklace with some chain from my stash. The brass moon on the shaker box is from Vintaj. Inside the shaker box I put sequins, glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, shells, mica flakes, rhinestones, Swarovski bicone crystals, seed beads, green plastic crystals, and micro beads.
Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Make Today Count

Here's my new design team page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! I have used a photo from google free, by A.M. Lorek.

To make this page, I applied clear gesso to Prima Spring Farmhouse paper, then white gesso on the areas where I wanted to put the photo and embellishments. Later I put gesso over the whole page,it was too busy.  I smoothed on texture paste with the Celtic stencil from TCW, then put the layers with the photo together: I tore off parts of the surface paper of corrugated cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I added the photo with a layer of cardstock taped on, then watercolor paper. I put layers of foam core board between everything to add dimension, and to allow room to tuck things into.

I picked out chipboard from Reneabouquets, and painted it with A Rose (by any other name), and Greener Pastures Inklingz. With a paintbrush I dribbled on a stream of Clear Rock Candy Crackle. I later covered up the green and pink colors because I decided they didn't go with the photo. I used Steely Blue Eyes and I Love You Onyxly Inklingz. I dabbed on gold mica powder.

To add visual interest I applied micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glitter glue, mica flakes, pearls, rhinestones, Swarovski crystals, glass pebbles, beads, shells, pressed flowers, lichen, and leaves, white tulle, tiny pieces of gold lace, tulle, a butterfly from Reneabouquet, metal from Vintaj,Prima,  and my stash. There is a Prima Mould item to the right of the photo. I painted it with Steely Blue Eyes, and rubbed on gold mica powder.

All the grayish blue on the watercolor paper, cardboard, and background paper is Steely Blue Eyes.

I used red glitter glue and red micro beads under the photo. I later added Pixie Dust Blingz to lighten the color, gold mica powder, and gold micro beads.

I extended the woman's hand and arm onto the watercolor paper with a mix of A Rose (by any other name) Inklingz. and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz.  Penny is also below the chipboard at the top of the page, and in other areas. All the gold on the page is gold mica powder.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

I added the photo with a layer of cardstock taped on, then watercolor paper. I put layers of foam core board between everything to add dimension, and to allow room to tuck things into.

I picked out chipboard from Reneabouquets, and painted it with A Rose( by any other name) and First Blush Inklingz.I put on a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle with a paintbrush, just letting it drip from the brush, as I moved the brush across the chipboard. It comes off the brush in a line, not drops.

All the lavender is Honeymoon Inklingz. The butterfly on the lower left is Tim Holtz tissue. The brown is Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. The green is Green Olive Shimmerz. I added all the colors to the chipboard later on to balance out how intense the orange is in the photo, plus one more shade. A greyish purple color called Imperial Amethyst Inklingz.  I put it on the cardboard, background paper, and flowers too.

I dabbed on a little gold mica powder around the page. The watercolor paper under the photo is painted with a mix of Honeymoon and Steely Blue Eyes Inklingz.

I extended the woman's hair onto the page using copper mica powder and Penny 4 Your Thoughts.

I added a little Prima stamping.

You can see a few wisps of gauze.
