With Love

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints. I love these                                paints, the colors are so rich and fun to work with!

To make this page I put the layers under the photo together first, including taping water color paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of cardboard between each of the layers to add dimension, and taped it to the background paper.

I coated 49 and Market Paper with clear gesso, then applied texture paste with a stencil and credit card.

I picked out Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, arranged it around the page, took it off, and prepped it with white gesso. I painted them with Imperial Amethyst Inklingz, then topped them with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.I painted the mat, corrugated, and the area around them with Orchid-Stra, Wisteria Lane, and Key Lime Shimmerz. I also used Imperial Amethyst, Olive U Truly, and Honeymoon Inklingz. I brushed and rubbed on mica powder in purple, gold, and green.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequins, shells, strands of gauze, iridescent wrapping paper, black tulle, off white netting, gold lace, pressed and dried flowersand leaves, moss, lichen, gold leaf ,flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, metal from Vintaj,Reneabouquets and Tim Holtz, and bling and metal from my stash. I added small fussy cut pieces from a few collections of Graphic 45 papers.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Nick and Aron

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a design team page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints. I love these                                paints, the colors are so rich and fun to work with! This is an engagement photo                                                            done for my son and daughter in law.

To make this page I put the layers under the photo together first, including taping water color paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a mat of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I poured on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder(UTEE) and heated it til just melted. I put two layers of cardboard between each of the layers to add dimension, and taped it to the background paper.

I applied texture paste with a stencil and a credit card on Blue Fern paper. I sprinkled it with UTEE and heated it.

I picked out Reneabouquets Beautiful Board, arranged it around the page, took it off, and prepped it with gesso. I painted them with Dazzlerz Foilz 24 Karatz, then topped them with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.I painted the mat with a mix of Me & Blue and Blue My Mind Inklingz. For the background I used several different colors and types of paint. There's Precious Metal Shimmerz, Dazzlerz Foilz, Me & Blue Inklingz,Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz ,and Teal the End Of Time Shimmerz. I brushed and rubbed on mica powder in teal, silver, and gold.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequins, shells, pieces of abalone shell, strands of gauze,a flower from Reneabouquets, metal from Vintaj,Reneabouquets, and bling and metal from my stash.

Reneabouquets Design Team Page, Believe In Yourself

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Reneabouquets, go and see all the fun treasures there!

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern paper. I put the layers under the photo together, starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a layer of watercolor paper, and under that is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. I put two layers of corrugated cardboard between each layer to add dimension.

I put the layers with the photo onto the page. I applied texture paste with a stencil to the paper with an old credit card.I painted the stenciled area with pale pink Shimmerz Paint.

I picked out Beautiful Board(BBoard), painted it with Shimmerz Paints, and topped it with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, sequins, gold leaf, pressed flowers and leaves, lichen, bark, tulle, cheesecloth I painted with Christmas Cheer Shimmerz Paint, lace, iridescent wrapping paper,Tim Holtz silver and gold rub ons, metal from Reneabouquets,Vintaj, shells, flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, and bling and metal from my stash. There are a few Prima and Finnabair mould pieces, and small fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 Garden Goddess and more.

I added gesso to the paper at the left of the page, I sort of scrubbed it on with an old stiff paint brush.

I added some lavender Shimmerz Paint on the corrugated, and to the right of the page. I wanted to pick up the purple of the iris flowers in the photo.

I splattered the page with white Higgins Ink.

I squeezed on glossy accent on the edges of the big pink flower in the group at the bottom right, then sprinkled on Gawdy Girl Diamond Shard Glitter Glass.

That little flower girl is adorable!

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!
