Attitude, for the Shimmerz Paints DT

 

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! Go and see all the                                                                               fun treasures there! 

                                    

I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat. I taped together layers of cardboard with the photo on top.I made a mat out of watercolor paper. On the corrugated cardboard I poured on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder onto wet  white gesso. I heated it with a heat gun,this was to add texture. 

 The background paper is from 49 and Market, I painted on Clear Gesso so the paper didn't absorb the paints.  I put the layers on the page, and applied Prima Platinum crackle through a Prima stencil with a spatula. I started adding other items. I applied white gesso to the chipboard so the paint would have something to "grip onto to".

                                   I brushed on different colors of  Shimmerz paints on the background paper, the                                                                     mat, and the chipboard:                                                                                                      

Inklingz:    Good As Gold,  Penny 4 Your Thoughts,  Pink-A-Boo ,   First Blush, Steely Blue Eyes,  Honeymoon, Beets Me, Hot Stuff, and Greener Pastures.

Shimmerz:   Christmas Cheer, and Run!Forest.

 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter,iridescent wrapping paper, glass beads, swarovski crystals,sequins,shells, gold thread,wire,lace, tulle, feathers from my backyard, pearls,metal from Reneabouquets,Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets,and bling and metal from my stash. I rubbed on gold mica powder on a lot of of the raised areas. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for heavier items, and to put the cardboard layers together. All the images around the photo are from 49 and Market paper.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter,iridescent wrapping paper, glass beads, swarovski crystals,sequins,shells, gold thread,rub ons, pearls,metal from Reneabouquets,Tim Holtz, Vintaj,Beautiful Board from Reneabouquets,and bling and metal from my stash. At the bottom right I used freshwater pearls, labradorite, moonstones,and abalone. I rubbed on gold mica powder on a lot of of the raised areas. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for heavier items, and to put the cardboard layers together.

Paris Is Calling, And I Must Go, a page for the Reneabouquets Design Team

 

 Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see all the beautiful treasures there!

The photo is of Andie White,the youngest sister of my daughter in law Aron, on the The Pont Alexandre III, a deck arch bridge that spans the Seine in Paris.  The bridge is widely regarded as the most ornate, extravagant bridge in the city. In May of this year she received a Masters In Music, from the New England Conservatory of Music, and this trip was her graduation gift.

      

To make this page, I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat. I added layers of corrugated cardboard and a watercolor mat. The bottom layer of cardboard has gesso that I poured Ultra Thick Embossing Powder onto and heated till  it was just melted.

 I applied Prima Platinum crackle paste on watercolor paper with a stencil and a spatula.I arranged the Beautiful Board and flowers around the page, then added the beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints, and glued on more beads. I applied gold , and  a blue purple iridescent mica powder with my fingers over almost all the background paper.

 To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter,a few Swarovski  crystals, glass beads, pearls,feathers,gold threads,pressed flowers and leaves,shells, tulle,flowers and metal from  Reneabouquets, and some bling from my stash. All the fussy cut images are from Graphic 45 papers, mostly Ephemera Queen.  A lot of the items of are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things,and to put the cardboard layers together.

"Dream In Colors Borrowed From The Sea", Summer ATCs For The Reneabouquets Design Team

 Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see all the beautiful treasures there!

      

To make these ATCs, or Artist's Trading Cards, I cut up a piece of Authentique paper and glued them to watercolor paper. Corrugated cardboard glued between the layers gives them some dimension. Each one measures about 2 and a half by 3 inches. 

 I arranged the Beautiful Board and flowers on the ATCs, then added the beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints, and glued on more beads. 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, glass glitter,a few Swarovski  crystals, glass beads, pearls,feathers,shells, tulle,lace, flowers from  Reneabouquets, and some bling from my stash.  Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things.
