She Was Wishing

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post for the amazing Shimmerzpaints! I love their rich texture and colors!

To make this card I glued white cardstock on top of a card made from watercolor paper.  I painted the paper with clear gesso, then applied Prima Platinum Crackle texture paste with a stencil and spatula. I layered in elements with double sided foam tape to add dimension.

I painted the chipboard  with gesso, then Pink -A- Boo and  Pugnacious Purple Inklingz.

To add visual interest I glued on micro beads, seed beads, gold leaf, sisal, swarovski crystals, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, paper, tulle, pressed flowers, lichen, and leaves, shells, fussy cut images from Graphic 45,flowers from Reneabouquets, metal from Reneabouquets, and Vintaj, and bling and metal from my stash.I rubbed and flicked on Jaquard Brilliant Gold and Violet mica powder as one of the final steps.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Merry Christmas

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post for the amazing Shimmerzpaints! I love their rich texture and colors!

To make this card I used paper from Prima's Christmas In The Country collection. I glued it on top of a card made from watercolor paper.  I painted the paper with clear gesso, then applied texture paste with a stencil and spatula. I layered in elements with small pieces of corrugated cardboard and double sided foam tape to add dimension.

I painted the chipboard frame with gesso, then Greener Pastures Inklingz ,  Green Olive Shimmerz, and Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. I layered on a thick coat of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.

I painted the background with a little Dear John Letter, Pixie Dust Shimmerz, and  A Rose(By Any Other Name) Inklingz.  and the Penny color.

To add visual interest I glued on micro beads, seed beads, swarovski crystals, glass shard glitter, glass beads, pearls, iridescent wrapping paper, tulle, lace, pressed flowers and leaves, shells, fussy cut images from Prima and Graphic 45,flowers from Reneabouquets and Prima, metal from Reneabouquets,Prima, and Tim Holtz, and bling and metal from my stash.I rubbed and flicked on gold mica powder.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!

Reneabouquets Design Team page, "Snow At Christmas", by Melissa Larson

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see all the fun treasures there!

To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern Christmas Cheer Paper.

I put the layers under the photo together, starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat. Below that is a watercolor paper mat, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most of the paper from the top of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso.

I put the layers with the photo onto the page.

I applied Prima Platinum crackle paste with a stencil and an old credit card. I picked out Beautiful Board, arranged the flowers around the page, and added the BB. I layered in all the fussy cut pieces, and then the beads. I added paint, more beads, and layers of more paint.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, rhinestones, swarovski crystals, sequins, pressed flowers, seeds, dried lavender buds and leaves, bark, lichen, feathers, cheesecloth, iridescent wrapping paper, sisal, lace, tulle, metal from Reneabouquets,Prima,Tim Holtz, and Vintaj, flowers from  Reneabouquets and Prima, and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things, and to put the cardboard layers together.I used  fussy cut images from Graphic 45 papers. I flicked on gold Jaquard mica powder, added Prima waxes, and flicked on white Amsterdam Ink,as final steps.

Thank you so much for looking, and have a great week!
