Reneabouquets Design Team Post, Happy Halloween, by Melissa Larson

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new project for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see all the fun                                                                                 treasures there!                                                                

I sponged  white gesso on the Beautiful Board pieces, then applied Prima Platinum Crackle Texture Paste with a spatula and a TCW stencil. I put the BB on, then all the beads, and started adding Shimmerz Paints. I wanted a more intense colors, so I used alcohol inks. I added mica powders at the end in a pale almost white blue purple color, purple, and gold.

 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter,iridescent wrapping paper,black and purple tulle, Swarovski and other brands of crystals, glass beads, pearls,sequins,metal from Tim Holtz, flowers from  Reneabouquets,and bling and from my stash. There's a couple fussy cut pieces from Graphic 45 Halloween papers. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things.

Shimmerz Paints Design Team Post, Dreamcatcher

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post, four ATCs, for the amazing Shimmerz Paints, I love their rich texture and colors!  

To make this I applied white gesso to the chipboard pieces. I poured on Aqua Tinsel Embossing Powder on Versamark ink on a few random areas. I added the pearls and microbeads, and Shimmerz Paints.

I kept adding things, and more layers of paint and mica powder. A lot of the items are from Reneabouquets.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter ,gold leaf,glass beads, pearls, rhinestones,  glass hearts,sequins,tulle, iridescent wrapping paper, feathers from my yard,pressed and dried flowers, a flower from  Reneabouquets, metal fromTim Holtz,and bling and from my stash The birds are from Graphic 45 Birdwatcher, they're attached with gold wire and Glossy Accents.Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. It's hard to see,but at the bottom of each feather I wired on a moonstone, quartz, and a sterling silver bead. They weighted the feathers down, so they hung better. The stick at the top is from one of my rosebushes.

I used the following colors:   Peacock's Plume ,and Christmas Cheer Shimmerz ,then Penny 4 Your Thoughts Inklingz. I painted on Steely Blue Eyes Inklingz. layered on top of some of the Peacock's Plume. I brushed on black ink to outline different areas. I painted on a mix of gold mica powder and water.

I wanted to make a page for my husband's birthday, and this is one of his favorite photos. It's my mother in law, my sister in law, and me. We're shopping right before Christmas, in Rich's hometown.

 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter,gold leaf,iridescent wrapping paper,gold thread, lace,black tulle, white tulle, pressed and dried flowers,white ink ,Swarovski and other brands of crystals, glass beads, pearls,metal from Reneabouquets,Tim Holtz, flowers from  Reneabouquets,and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things,and to put the cardboard layers together.

Shimmerz Paints Design Team Post, Four Ocean Theme ATCs,by Melissa Larson

 

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new design team post, four ATCs, for the amazing Shimmerz Paints, I love their rich texture and colors!  

I like to give these ATCs to my relatives and friends as tiny special occasion cards. 

To make these cards I cut out images from Graphic 45's Voyage Beneath the Sea Collection, and glued them onto 2.5 x 3.5 inch watercolor paper cards.  I applied clear gesso, then stamped on Versamark with a script stamp, and poured on gold embossing powder,one has Aqua Tinsel. I heated the powders, then  stenciled on Prima Platinum crackle texture paste with a spatula. I matted them on black cardstock.  I fussy cut more images, and used layers of cardboard and double sided foam tape under them to add dimension. I painted the fussy cut images with Clear gesso.

  I added beads, and sprinkled glass glitter on the glue spots. A lot of the items are from Reneabouquets. 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass glitter ,glass beads, pearls, rhinestones, swarovski crystals, glass hearts,tulle,cheesecloth , iridescent wrapping paper, feathers from my yard,  Prima mould shapes,flowers from  Reneabouquets, metal from Reneabouquets and Tim Holtz,and bling and metal from my stash. Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. The Beautiful Board is from Reneabouquets.

I used the following colors: Pixie Dust Blingz on the Prima mould pieces, Christmas Cheer, and Peacock's Plume Shimmerz ,  Penny 4 Your Thoughts,Miner Miner 49er and Good As Gold Inklingz on various areas. I painted with Gold Glimmer Blingz plus Shimmerz too.

I used Jaquard Brilliant Gold mica powder on different areas, sometimes I took a candle and rubbed it on surfaces and then put the mica powder on.

The Pixie Dust has an amazing texture, imagine a thick and shiny, almost paste, that makes any surface pop with a gorgeous gleamy white sheen. The Peacock's Plume is the most intense and amazing textured turquoise color, that exactly matches the blues of these papers.
