For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, Dwell On The Beauty Of Life


Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! I stenciled Prima Platinum Texture Paste with a small spatula onto watercolor paper. I taped on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat, and  made a mat too. I added  layers of corrugated cardboard. The layer below the mat that's visible I ripped off  some of the paper, poured on UTEE on gesso, and heated it. I taped on flowers, glued on beads and other items, and I brushed on Shimmerz Paints.  I rubbed and brushed on gold and silver mica powder on different areas. 





To add visual interest I added micro beads,seed beads,glass beads,swarovski crystals,acrylic crystals, glass glitter, gold leaf,iridescent wrapping paper,chipboard, tulle,sisal, flowers, and bling and metal from my stash. All the images are from Graphic 45 paper. A lot of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. Many of the textural items are from Reneabouquets.

For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, Color Is A Power Which Directly Influences The Soul

For The Reneabouquets Design Team - If I Know What Love Is, It Is Because Of You.

 

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post, a layout, for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see                 all the beautiful treasures there!    





To make this page, I applied a layer of Prima Platinum crackle paste to 49 and Market paper with a stencil and a small spatula. I cut around the 2 people in the photo because the background looked like a parking lot. I taped on some cardboard under them and put them on a piece of canvas. I taped more                                                          layers of watercolor paper and cardboard.                                                                                                                                                                                                                       

I arranged the Beautiful Board,and flowers around the page, then added the beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints, and glued on more beads,using Glossy Accents. I rubbed and painted on gold mica powder. I put a lot of silver mica powder on the canvas, then a little paint on the edges. I added some patina colored paste on different spots, edges and bling.






To add visual interest I added micro beads,seed beads, glass glitter,glass beads,crystals,sequins,gold leaf,tulle,lace, bling from my stash,iridescent wrapping paper,and a feather.I used glossy accents to adhere items to the page. For flowers I used double sided foam tape.

For The Reneabouquets Design Team, Where There Is Great Love, There Is Also Miracles


Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post, a layout, for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see                 all the beautiful treasures there!    


                                                                                 



To make this page, I applied a layer of Prima Platinum crackle paste to Prima paper with a stencil and a small spatula.  I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on watercolor paper to the                                                                    photo to make it lie flat.                                                                                                                                                                                             
 I added layers of corrugated cardboard and two watercolor mats.            
   
I arranged the Beautiful Board,and flowers around the page, then added the beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints, and glued on more beads,using Glossy Accents. I rubbed and painted on gold mica powder.






To add visual interest I added micro beads,seed beads, glass glitter,glass beads,crystals,sequins,gold leaf,tulle,lace, a very small tulle flower I made,sisal, gold thread, dried flowers,wire, bling from my stash,iridescent wrapping paper,and a feather.I used glossy accents to adhere items to the page.
