For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, I Sustain Myself With The Love Of Family

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! Go and see all the fun           treasures there!  

    To make this page, I applied a layer of clear gesso and let it dry. I stenciled Prima Platinum Texture Paste with a small spatula onto 49 and Market paper. I taped on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger and to lie flat, and  made a mat too. I added  layers of corrugated cardboard. I taped on                              flowers, glued on beads and other items, and I brushed on                                            Shimmerz Paints.  I rubbed on gold mica powder on different areas. 

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass beads, crystals, glass glitter,  sisal, chipboard, tulle,lace, flowers,shells, pearls, sealing wax, wire,gold leaf, and bling and metal from my stash.  A lot of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. Many of the textural items are 

from Reneabouquets.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads, glass beads, crystals, glass glitter,  silver thread,  sisal,a needle threader, chipboard, tulle, flowers,shells, buttons,pearls, bead caps, and bling and metal from my stash.  A lot of the items are glued on individually with Glossy Accents. Many of the textural items are from Reneabouquets.

For The Reneabouquets Design Team, The Heart Of A Father Is The Masterpiece Of Nature

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post, a layout, for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and see                 all the beautiful treasures there! 

My husband picked out this photo taken a long time ago. I'm going to frame it for a Father's Day gift.It shows three generations: my father in law, my husband, and our son.  It's taken on the Guadelupe River in Greune, Texas, in the beautiful Hill Country. 

           To make this page, I applied a layer of clear gesso and let it dry. I put Prima Platinum crackle paste on 49 and Market  paper with a stencil and a small spatula.

 I taped on a layer of watercolor paper underneath the photo to help it to lie flat. I added layers of corrugated cardboard and then a watercolor mat. I added more layers of cardboard and a bottom layer of corrugated that I glued tulle on.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        

I arranged the Beautiful Board,and flowers around the page, then added the beads and other items.I brushed on Shimmerz Paints, and glued on more beads,using Glossy Accents. I rubbed on gold mica powder on raised areas and edges of the mat.

To add visual interest I added micro beads, glass glitter,glass beads,sisal,tulle,gold leaf, and bling from my stash,.I used glossy accents to adhere items to the page. For flowers I used double sided foam tape. At The lower left if you look closely you can see a shed snake skin, it's clear and looks like cellophane. I found it in my yard yesterday. The blue jay feathers from my yard too. I put some jingle bells by the bottom of the photo, Einar loved Christmas.  The metal frog with bling is because my husband likes frogs.

For The Reneabouquet Design Team, Live In The Sunshine,Swim The Sea, Drink The Wild Air

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new post, a 4 by 9 inch card, for the amazing Reneabouquets. Go and               see all the beautiful treasures there! 

               I made a 4 by 9 inch card out of watercolor paper. I applied Prima Platinum texture paste with a small spatula. I put the frame on with double sided tape. I taped on 2 layers of corrugated cardboard underneath the ATC card. I taped the mermaid on. I arranged the rest of the items around the page. Whenever I glued on beads I sprinkled on Gawdy Girl Diamond Shard Glitter onto the glue.                                                                

I brushed on Shimmerz Paints. I rubbed on gold, and silver mica powder. 

        To add visual interest I glued on dry embossing powder,micro beads,seed beads,glass glitter,glass            beads,swarovski crystals,a feathersequins,sisal,tulle,iridescent wrapping paper, dried flowers                                                                            and bling from my stash.

For The Shimmerz Paints Design Team, In Order To See Birds It Is Necessary To Become A Part Of The Silence

 

Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new project for the amazing Shimmerz Paints! Go and see all the             fun treasures there!

I took a 5"x7" canvas, and brushed on gesso on the reverse side. I stenciled on Prima Platinum Crackle Texture paste on the frame.I hammered nails in the side of the frame in order to put wire on, to hang it on a wall. 

 I added the images on top of the canvas. I placed the flowers in, and then all the little items. Whenever I glued something on with Glossy Accents, I added diamond glitter.  I painted with Shimmerz Paints, and rubbed on gold and silver mica powder.    

To add visual interest I added  glass glitter,a pearl,shells, tulle,lace,sisal,25 gauge pink wire, tiny orange seeds from a dried flower,dried moss,a branch,bling and metal from my stash,and flowers. All the feathers are from my backyard by my birdbath. All except the bunch at the lower left.   Most of the things are glued on individually with Glossy Accents.I used double sided foam tape for the flowers and some other things.
