3 ATCs: Imagine, Together, and Flight

Hi , Melissa here with 3 ATCs using Gina's Designs Lasercuts. I painted the doilies with lumieres and stickles. I think these images from an old calendar are very pretty, and it wasn't hard to find items from Gina's that went with them. I had fun decorating these with embellies I've collected over time.

Bird's Nest Book Box

Hi, Melissa here with an altered Book Box from Gina's Designs Lasercuts.  I also used items from Craftsupplies 1.

The leaf chipboard are painted with gesso, then watercolors, and topped with Mod Podge Dimensional Magic.  The book box was very easy to assemble, and sturdy; it was a pleasure to work with.

The flowers from CS1 took  watercolor tints beautifully. When they were still damp I changed the shape  a little from the original . I love flowers and these were wonderful.

Three ATC

Melissa here with three ATC featuring chipboard by Gina's Designs Lasercuts.  These make nice little gifts to give to friends or relatives.  I used gesso topped with  lumieres to paint the chipboard.  The little flowers on the upper left around the photo are made with a Martha Stewart hydrangea punch. I used Utee over acrylic paint to get the texture on them.
One reason I find the chipboard such a pleasure to work with is their versatility. I can change their original theme to fit which ever one I want.

Surprise!

Hi, Melissa here with a page featuring chipboard by Gina's Designs Lasercuts. This is a sheet of watercolor paper I first sprayed with  water , then Dylusions ink spray . On the chipboard I used gesso, then painted them with different colors of Perfect Pearls. The texture on the right is made with gloss gel using chipboard as stencils.  I painted the dry gel with lumieres, and decoart pens. I was inspired by Nancy Smiths recent page using this months sketch.  I aimed for a cleaner design than usual.

The story behind this photo is that my husband came home from work, woke me up , and took this shot.  I was a little embarrassed to be caught napping.  My favorite dreams are ones where I fly,and I think my pages look like its underneath water or in the air, so this fits. I really enjoyed working on this page, I love watercolor paper,  the chipboard is so much fun to play with, and this photo brings back a lot of good memories.

This is a little house we rented in the 80's in Northport,Long Island, NY.  Shortly after, we moved to California.

The Blue Mask

Hi, Melissa here with a mask by Gina's Designs.  I painted it with gesso, then metallic blue acrylic. I put clear gel medium on using a piece of lace as a stencil, followed by Twinkling H20s . After that I applied the crystals. The flatback diamond colored ones , and the bicones, are Swarovski.   To highlight the texture of the gel, I brushed on some gold DecoColor  paint.  The flower was made by dipping white paper flowers in Dylusions ink and water. I painted the flourishes in front of the ostrich feathers with gesso, acrylic paint, then crackle.
I tinted the lace by immersing it in Dylusions ink and water.
