Woman With Crown

Hi everyone! Here is my entry for the More Than Words

  October 2017 Main Challenge DELICATE & FABRICS.

The photo has a very DELICATE look, with the gown and flowers.  I have echoed this with the wispy threads in the background, the chipboard leaves and scrolled frame pieces.  I added FABRIC, a piece of silk ribbon on the right.

To make this page I put some gesso on paper from Pion Design Palette, Pion Blue 1. I put texture paste on with a Prima stencil, then when dry sprayed on Tattered Angels Rich Mocha on a lot of the page. I glued layers of paper on top of corrugated cardboard for under the photo, but wound up taking off the edges on one, and painting over a sparkly blue layer. I used Prima Finnabair Art Alchemy Sparks Acrylic Paint Magical Pond on the chipboard frame with Clear Rock Candy on top, then more of the blue. I brushed some Prima Steampunk Copper on after I'd glued the frame on the photo.

I sponged on a lot of gesso over the brown, it's pretty easy to cover. I dry brushed more of the blue paint on raised areas. On the right upper corner of the frame you can see a 7 Gypsies Display Pin with some silk ribbon from Scrap Shack in Friendswood Texas.

I glued on blue and white pearls, dyed cheesecloth, chain, beads, micro beads, mica flakes, and bling. I dyed the cheesecloth with blue Rasberry Tattered Angels.
