Reneabouquet Design Team Project, "Be Awesome Today", by Melissa Larson


Hi everyone! Melissa here with a new page for the amazing Reneabouquets, go and see all the beautiful things there! I've used a photo from free google, by A.M. Lorek.



To make this page I applied clear gesso to Blue Fern paper. I put the layers under the photo together,starting with taping on watercolor paper under the image to make it stronger. Below that is a layer of watercolor paper, and at the bottom is corrugated cardboard. I tore off most the paper from the surface of the cardboard, and painted it with gesso. While it was wet I poured on Ultra Thick Embossing Powder, (UTEE),and heated it until it was just melted. I put two layers of cardboard between the layers to add dimension. 

I put the layers with the photo onto the page. I applied texture paste with a stencil to the paper with an old credit card. I poured on UTEE, and melted it.

I picked out Beautiful Board, painted it with Prima Sparks and Shimmerz Paints,and topped it with a thick layer of Clear Rock Candy Crackle.




To add visual interest I added micro beads, seed beads,glass glitter, glass beads, pearls, Swarovski crystals, rhinestones, pressed flowers and leaves,lichen,bark,tulle,lace, metal from Reneabouquet, Vintaj, Tim Holtz, shells,flowers from Prima and Reneabouquets, pieces of floral picks, and bling and metal from my stash.There's a gorgeous butterfly from Reneabouquet.



I added gesso, pale pink ,purple,silver shimmerz, gold ink,and green watercolors to the background.
